- Husband jailed 4+ years for forcing wife into sex.
- Wife exploited by husband for sexual services to 120+ men.
- 28 men also convicted for purchasing sexual services.
A Swedish court has sentenced a 61-year-old man to four years and five months in prison after finding that he forced his wife to provide sexual services to more than 120 men over a period of several years. The verdict was delivered by a court in Härnösand, eastern Sweden, which convicted the man of multiple offences, including attempted rape, aggravated pimping, assault and unlawful threats. The court concluded that he had systematically controlled and exploited his wife through intimidation, violence and surveillance.
According to prosecutors, the abuse began in 2022 at the couple’s remote farm in Kramfors, located in Sweden’s Angermanland region. Men reportedly travelled from different parts of the country to meet the woman after arrangements were made by her husband in exchange for money.
Woman managed to escape
Authorities said the abuse continued until October last year, when the woman managed to contact police and report the situation. Prosecutors argued that the man maintained control over his wife through a combination of threats, isolation and monitoring. He allegedly installed surveillance cameras throughout the home, some of which recorded sexual encounters. The woman was also subjected to repeated threats, including threats to kill her, burn her and cause serious physical harm.
Husband arranged men for sex
The court found that the husband had played a central role in arranging and managing the sexual encounters and had pressured his wife into participating in sexual acts, including some that were broadcast online. Judges stated that he had “ruthlessly exploited” the woman and administered most aspects of the operation.
The woman eventually escaped by using an area of the house that was not covered by surveillance cameras before seeking help from law enforcement authorities.

The case has drawn significant attention in Sweden and internationally due to its scale. Some observers have compared it to the high-profile Dominique Pelicot case in France, which involved years of abuse against his former wife.
28 men guilty of purchasing sexual services
In addition to the husband’s conviction, the court also found 28 men guilty of purchasing sexual services. Collectively, they were convicted in connection with 56 separate transactions. Two of the buyers received prison sentences, while the others were given suspended sentences or probation.
The court ordered the convicted husband to pay the victim 2,00,000 Swedish krona (around £15,900) in compensation.
The man denied wrongdoing throughout the trial, claiming that the encounters had been consensual. However, the court rejected his defence and ruled in favour of the prosecution.
