A bank manager in France has been accused by his former partner of subjecting her to seven years of psychological manipulation, torture, and rape involving multiple strangers he allegedly found online. The victim, 42-year-old Laetitia R said Guillaume Bucci maintained “psychological control” over her throughout the relationship.
Laetitia R told the court that Bucci introduced her to sadomasochistic sexual practices between 2015 and 2022, gradually using them to control her. She said she initially understood his explanation as “spanking, being tied up” and believed his assurance that everything would stop if she was uncomfortable.
However, she later described the acts as “pure and simple violence”, adding that she lived in “constant fear” of him releasing intimate videos if she tried to leave him.
Accused Admits Of Pressuring Ex-Girlfriend Into Prostitution
Bucci has admitted to acts including strangulation, burning, and bestiality, but insists these were “consensual sexual games in the context of their intimate relationship”. He also said he did not believe he was “hurting” her.
He further admitted to pressuring Laetitia R. into prostitution, allegedly selling her to “friends, colleagues, and strangers” and instructing her to maintain a record of the men she was forced to meet.
“I stopped counting at 487 men, some of whom I had seen up to 10 times,” Laetitia R said during the trial.
The woman told the court that the abuse started gradually, saying it began “little by little”. She alleged that Bucci first pushed her to sleep with other men, and later, on Christmas Eve 2015, forced her to “offer herself to strangers” at a motorway service station while he listened over the phone.
“I felt like I was dying inside,” she told the courtroom, adding that she now suffers from significant long-term disabilities due to the abuse.
While prosecutors had sought a life sentence to prevent him from “reoffending against another woman”, Bucci was ultimately sentenced to 25 years in prison, with eligibility for parole only after serving two-thirds of his term.
