  3. Social media widely shared the misleading video of Dubai landmark.

A viral video claiming that Dubai’s Burj Khalifa was illuminated to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday on Thursday was actually a falsely shared clip. It was found that the widely circulated footage actually dates back to September 2025, when the iconic landmark was lit up in honour of the Prime Minister's 75th birthday.

Video Falsely Shared As New

The video gained significant traction after an X account, @NewsMatrixIND, shared the footage on Thursday, falsely claiming the world’s tallest building had been illuminated with the Indian tricolour to wish PM Modi on his birthday. The post was subsequently reshared across various social media platforms, amplifying its reach. However, it later came to light that the exact same video had already been circulated in September 2025, proving that the footage was falsely shared as new video.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, party national president Nitin Nabin, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended their greetings to PM Modi. In a post on X, Amit Shah defined the prime minister as the symbol of hard work and sacrifice.

"Heartfelt birthday wishes to Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, the symbol of tireless hard work, sacrifice, and foresight. The life of Modi ji, who has made karma his sadhana and national service the aim of his life, is an epic tale of penance, sacrifice, and unwavering resolve.
