Israel-US-Iran War Live Updates: The conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran, which has entered into its second month, saw a significant development on Friday. Iran claimed it had shot down a US F-15E Strike Eagle and that another American aircraft had crashed around the same time in the region. This marks one of the most serious escalations in the ongoing tensions between the two sides in recent weeks.
Iranian officials said their forces brought down the F-15E in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province. Two US crew members were involved, with one rescued and another still missing. Iran also stated that it shot down an A-10 Warthog attack aircraft near the Strait of Hormuz. However, US officials have not confirmed this and said the cause of the crash is still unclear.
Rescue operations began quickly after the incidents. US forces searched for the missing pilot who had ejected from the fighter jet, while Iranian forces also reportedly looked for him in the same area. During rescue efforts, a US UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter also came under fire but was able to escape safely without being shot down.
At the same time, Iran has issued strong warnings to the US and its allies. A spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters stated that any attacks on Iran’s infrastructure would be met with powerful retaliation. The warning also included countries hosting US military bases.
