The front page of Iran’s daily, Tehran Times, published the photos of the elementary school attack victims, who were reportedly killed in a US missile strike on Minab school. The page featuring photos of schoolgirls is now going viral. Indicating that US President Donald Trump was responsible for the killing of over 165 elementary school girls, the publication wrote the frontpage headline, daring him to look the eyes of victims, “Trump, Look Them In The Eyes."

The publication accuses Trump of making fake claims amid the escalating tensions between the US, Israel and Iran. As per the publication, 165 girls were assassinated in the attack carried out against Iran, jointly by the US and Israel, which Trump claimed to be a ‘pre-emptive’ assault.

“US President Donald Trump’s pronouncements on the ongoing military invasion of Iran have been marred by a pattern of demonstrably false claims, deflection of responsibility for atrocities, and a defiant rejection of diplomatic solutions," the paper stated, accusing Trump of peddling a false narrative.

In an attack carried out by the US on February 28, strikes targeted an elementary school named “Shajareh Tayyebeh" (The Good Tree) school in the city of Minab in southern Iran, killing 165 girls. The entire school collapsed on children and teachers when the attack occurred, students were studying, an Al Jazeera report said.

Responding to the brutal attack, the Chief of Iran’s National Security Council, Ali Larijani, criticised the US notion of freedom through an X post and described the incident as ‘mass martyrdom of innocent girls’ at the hands of what he described as ‘American-Israeli criminals.’
