Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on Tuesday has stated that Ali Larijani, the Secretary of Iran’s National Security Council, was killed during an overnight airstrike. While Isreal is confirming Ali Larijani's death, there has been no official confirmations or denial from Iran yet. 

Following the assassination of Iran's Supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei on February 28, Ali Larijani emerged as Iran's most powerful and influential figure, a "de facto leader" and a pivotal power broker in Tehran, he recently made headlines for reportedly stalling the appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as the next Supreme Leader.

Ali Larijani's First Post After Death 

Amid the news of Secretary of Iran’s National Security Council, Ali Larijani's death, a post from his X account is garnering attention. His post features a message intended for the funeral services of Iranian Navy personnel who were killed during recent military engagement.

He posted,"On the occasion of the funeral ceremony for the valiant martyrs of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Navy: Their memory will forever remain in the heart of the Iranian nation, and these martyrdoms will strengthen the foundation of the Islamic Republic's Army for years to come within the structure of the armed forces. I beseech the Almighty God for the highest ranks for these dear martyrs."

While Isreal is claiming Ali Larijani's death, the Iranian media and officials has not been relesed any confirmation statement about his death or live.

IDF Confirmed Gholamreza Soleiman's Death

The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) also confirmed that they have killed Gholamreza Soleimani, the leader of Iran's Basij paramilitary force. According to Jerusalem Post, IDF also claimed the death of Soleimani's deputy, Seyyed Karishi. The two IRGC officials were reportedly located in a temporary tent encampment, a tactical choice intended to evade detection by avoiding established military headquarters.

In a statement shared on X, the IDF noted that Soleimani’s leadership of the Basij was defined by the systematic use of violence and lethal force against civilian protesters.
