A White House official on Saturday denied reports that Washington has agreed to unfreeze Iranian assets.

Earlier in the day, Reuters reported, citing a senior Iranian source, that the United States had agreed to release frozen Iranian funds held in Qatar and other foreign banks. However, Washington has denied such reports.

Islamabad is hosting US-Iran peace talks today, with delegations from both countries present in the Pakistani capital. The high-stakes negotiations are taking place at the Serena Hotel.

The White House on Saturday said that Vice President JD Vance met with Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif ahead of talks with Iran.

Iranian Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that the US should accept Tehran's rights if it wants deal. He made the remarks after arriving in Pakistan on Saturday.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said on Saturday that he hoped the United States and Iran would engage constructively in peace talks. According to a statement from Pakistan's foreign ministry, Dar reiterated Islamabad's desire to continue facilitating the parties to reach a "lasting and durable solution to the conflict.",
