Iran has criticised the US President Donald Trump as he shared a social media post calling India and China "hellholes." The US President then asserted that he will make changes in America's birthright citizenship laws as well.
The Iranian Consulate in Mumbai reacted to the insult with a hard-hitting reply. They shared a video showing Maharashtra's rich cultural heritage. The consulate also asked Donald Trump to take a "one-way trip" to India, as it may act as a cultural detox to him.
Maybe someone should book a one-way cultural detox for Mr. #Trump, it might just reduce the random bakwaas 😏

What DId Trump Say In The Podcast
In the podcast "Savage Nation," Trump made a racist remark calling for changes in the United States' birthright citizenship law. Savage alleged that people from the two Asian nations come to the US to "drop a baby in the ninth month," and the law turns them into "instant" US citizens.
Trump shared the transcript and video of Savage's podcast 'Savage Nation,' where he slammed the US Supreme Court's arguments on birthright citizenship.
According to the transcript, Indian and Chinese immigrants are "gangsters with laptops" who have "stepped on the American flag." "They've done more damage to this nation than all the mafia families put together. In my unhumble opinion. Gangsters with laptops. They've robbed us blind, treated us like second-class citizens, let the truth world triumph, stepped on our flag, et cetera," the Truth Social added.
Savage claimed that earlier he used to support "Great Indians in India." However, his views changed as he realised that the prospect of "white men" getting jobs at a high-tech company in California is 'nil'.
On Tuesday, in an interview with CNBC, Trump made false claims saying that America is the only country offering birthright citizenship. Several nations, including Canada and Mexico, and other countries in South America grant citizenship based on place of birth.
However, CNBC made a fact-check and revealed that nearly 36 nations provide automatic citizenship to people born on their soil, including US neighbours Canada and Mexico and the majority of South American countries.
How Did India React?
Reacting to Trump's insulting post comparing India and China as "hell holes", the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, acknowledged, "We have seen some reports. That is where I leave it."
