Iran War: The ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran entered its 37th day on April 5, showing no signs of easing. On Sunday, Iran launched attacks on multiple buildings in Kuwait, escalating tensions further.
The Kuwait Ministry of Finance reported that two power generation units were shut down after Iranian drones struck power and water desalination facilities. The ministry confirmed that no casualties occurred during the incident.
This comes after a drone strike triggered a fire at Kuwait's Shuwaikh Oil Sector Complex, Al Jazeera reported early Sunday, citing Kuwaiti state media.
A video of the attack showed part of the complex in the Shuwaikh Oil Area engulfed in flames, with thick smoke rising from the site.

In a statement released on Saturday, the Iranian army said its forces had deployed Arash 2 drones to target a radar system used to detect missiles and combat drones. Tehran also struck the UAE's aluminium industry, which it considers a key element in regional military logistics.
Meanwhile, Emergency teams were promptly dispatched to the site. The state news agency KUNA reported "no injuries" resulting from the explosions or the fire.
A spokesperson of Kuwait's Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Ministry Fatima Abbas Jawhar Hayat said, "Technical and emergency teams have commenced their work according to approved emergency plans, in coordination with relevant authorities, to ensure the safety and stability of the electricity and water systems, which are of paramount importance. All technical teams are working around the clock to guarantee the continuity of services."

These attacks come amid a broader escalation in the region, with Iranian drone strikes targeting US military installations in the UAE and Kuwait, according to state broadcaster Press TV.
Several Gulf nations, including Kuwait, have faced Iranian attacks following the US and Israel’s joint strikes on February 28. Since then, the situation has intensified into a wider regional conflict.
The current hostilities began on February 28 with joint strikes by the United States and Israel, killing Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran has targeted several US and Israeli assets in West Asia.
Meanwhile, both the US and Iran have exchanged heated statements. US President Donald Trump issued an ultimatum of 48 hours to Iran, which Tehran rejected, calling it a "nervous, unbalanced and stupid action."
