Iran-US War: The West Asia conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran entered its 37th day on April 5, with tensions showing no signs of easing. The situation escalated sharply on Saturday after US President Donald Trump claimed that a “massive strike" in Tehran had wiped out key figures in Iran’s military leadership.
The claim was made through a post on Truth Social on Saturday, where the President also shared a video said to show the aftermath of the operation.
Alongside a nighttime video of a city skyline lit up by explosions, Trump wrote, "Many of Iran’s Military Leaders, who have led them poorly and unwisely, are terminated, along with much else, with this massive strike in Tehran!"

The video appears largely dark, though the sound of aircraft and loud explosions can be clearly heard.
Despite the scale of the claim, no additional details were provided regarding the targets or technical specifics of the strike. While the footage indicates a high-intensity operation in Tehran, there has been no official confirmation so far on casualties among Iran’s top military leadership.
Trump’s 48-Hour Deadline
The development comes at a critical moment, with a 10-day pause on strikes targeting infrastructure set to end on Monday.
Earlier on Saturday, Donald Trump issued a stern ultimatum to Tehran, warning that Iran has 48 hours to reach an agreement or reopen the Strait of Hormuz "before all hell will rain down on them".
Reiterating his stance in a Truth Social post, Trump said:
"Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out--48 hours before all hell will rain down on them. Glory be to GOD! President DONALD J. TRUMP,"
The warning follows his March 26 announcement extending a pause on strikes against Iran’s energy infrastructure by 10 days, until April 6, 2026, to allow space for diplomatic negotiations.
At the same time, Trump had said the extension came at the "request" of the Iranian government and that talks were "going very well."
His latest remarks continue a series of warnings focused on the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial global shipping route. Earlier, he had delayed military action on Iranian power facilities by five days, citing ongoing diplomacy, after initially giving Tehran 48 hours to reopen the waterway or face possible strikes.

The latest 48-hour ultimatum now serves as a final reminder of the 10-day deadline set last month.
Iran Rejects Trump’s Ultimatum
Meanwhile, Iran’s central military command has rejected the latest ultimatum issued by Donald Trump, who had threatened to target the country’s critical infrastructure if a peace deal is not reached within 48 hours, according to Al Jazeera.
Responding to the warning, General Ali Abdollahi Aliabadi of the "Khatam al-Anbiya" Central Headquarters described the American President’s remarks as "a helpless, nervous, unbalanced and stupid action."
