US-Iran War: Since Republican leader Donald Trump became the US President for the second time, he has left the world bemused with his bizarre desires and threats, which have ended up in global mockery for the most powerful person on the land. Even in the ongoing US-Iran war, Trump, on several occasions, made unusual remarks which ended with zero results. The latest is '8 pm deadline' for Iran. Trump gave an ultimatum to Iran to make a deal before Tuesday, 8:00 P.M ET, warning that there'll be "no bridges, no power plants" after that.

Addressing reporters at the White House, Trump said that this is a "critical period" and Washington has given Tehran the necessary time to make a deal to put this war to an end.

"This is a critical period... They asked for an extension of seven days; I gave them 10 days... They have till tomorrow. Now we will see what happens... A lot of people are affected by this. We are giving them until tomorrow, 8 o'clock, Eastern Time. After that, they are going to have no bridges. They are going to have no power plants. Stone ages," Trump threatened. Though he has been inconsistent in his words, the entire world is worried whether it is a pre-deal tactic or a real threat.

In past, too, he made such outrageous demands. Before waging war with Israel against Iran, Trump created global trade chaos over his tariff policy. His mercurial approach towards foreign trade policies hurt the economies of several countries, including that of India.

The US President made serious threats, ultimatums, or promises often framed aggressively and later reversed course, scaled back, or failed to follow through. He has a pattern of using bold rhetoric as leverage, sometimes leading to negotiations that prompt his critics to attack him.

Here Is A List Of Some Of Trump's Unprecedented Desires

- Withdraw From NATO: Trump sharply criticised NATO allies for not supporting Washington's military campaign against Iran, calling the alliance a "paper tiger". The alliance had failed to step up during the conflict, he added. On several occasions, he threatened that he would pull the US out of the military alliance, which experts see as unlikely, as the US has already invested a lot in the European nations.

- Make Canada 51st US State: Trump has repeatedly expressed his desire to make Canada the 51st US state. Framed as a bargaining chip during tariff talks, he has argued that this would benefit both nations. However, the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and later Mark Carney have strongly rejected the outrageous idea, saying Canada will remain a sovereign nation.

- Take Over Greenland and Panama: He stunned US allies in Europe, saying the US will acquire or retake control of Greenland and the Panama Canal, citing national and economic security concerns stemming from the influence of Russia and China.

- Nobel Peace Prize: Trump was adamant about getting the Nobel Peace Prize, claiming he stopped several wars, including armed conflict between India and Pakistan. In a dramatic turn of events, Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado presented her 2025 Nobel Peace Prize medal to Trump at the White House, days after the US military captured the Venezuelan President, Nicolás Maduro, in January this year.

- Kharg Island and Supreme Leader Post: Recently, amid intense war, Trump claimed that he was offered the Iranian Supreme Leader post, which he turned down. He also showed his desire to capture Iran's Kharg Island, which handles roughly 90% of the country's crude exports.
