Amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia, Air India has formally knocked out all flights to Israel until May 31, with no plans as of yet to resume service after that date.

The majority of other airlines have likewise cancelled flights to Tel Aviv from all over the world. The only airline that continues to have a presence on the route is Israel's El Al, Istra Air, Arkia, and Air Haifa, but only at very specific times and under strict rules.

Air India has suspended flights from the New Delhi channel to the Tel Aviv channel until May 31, and the company has said that many of the approximately 40,000 Indians currently living in Israel will not be able to return home to India, thus creating a great deal of concern for the victims of growing unrest in and around the country.

Canadians wishing to leave Israel will need to cross land to Jordan or border-cross to travel through Egypt. The Indian Mission in Tel Aviv has also assisted all Indians who want to travel, and continues to work in close contact with members of the Indian community to ensure that they receive the support they request.
