Epstein Files: The documents released by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) related to Epstein have revealed that the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein had a "wild" dinner with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, and others. In one of the emails sent to billionaire Tom Pritzker back on August 20, 2015, Epstein stated that he had dinner with the businessmen. While the mention of any names in Epstein files does not confirm wrongdoings, the details have shocked the world.

Along with Zuckerberg and Musk, Epstein also mentioned the names of businessmen Peter Thiel and Reid Hoffman. While Thiel is a co-founder of Palantir, Hoffman is the LinkedIn co-founder. While responding to billionaire Tom Pritzker in an email, Epstein stated that he had dinner with the top businessmen. "Are you in NY Aug 27?" Pritzker asked the sex offender. "Not sure yet. i had dinner with Zuckerberg, Musk, Thiel Hoffman, wild," Epstein responded.

The dinner happened in 2015, years after Epstein was convicted for procuring a minor for prostitution. The details emerged after the DOJ released a fresh set of files on January 30. Several high-profile names have featured in these documents, leading to controversy.

Earlier on February 8, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's chief of staff, Morgan McSweeney, resigned amid the growing controversy over the 2024 appointment of Peter Mandelson as British Ambassador to the United States. The angry Labour Party MPs have sought justification after Mandelson's name was found in the Epstein files.

"After careful reflection, I have decided to resign from the government. The decision to appoint Peter Mandelson was wrong. He has damaged our party, our country, and trust in politics itself," McSweeney said in his statement. "I advised the prime minister to make that appointment, and I take full responsibility for that advice," he added.
