Xiaomi seems ready to refresh its style-focused Civi lineup once again, and early leaks are already painting a fairly detailed picture of what’s coming next. The upcoming Xiaomi Civi 6 and Xiaomi Civi 6 Pro are expected to bring noticeable upgrades in display size, chipset performance, and most importantly, camera capabilities.

While Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed anything yet, the latest information suggests the brand is pushing the Civi series further into premium territory.

Xiaomi Civi 6 Series Could Bring Periscope Cameras To The Lineup

One of the biggest highlights from the leak is the introduction of periscope telephoto cameras on both models. The Xiaomi Civi 6 and Civi 6 Pro are tipped to feature 50-megapixel periscope lenses with up to 5x optical zoom.

That’s a notable shift. The Civi lineup has traditionally focused more on design and front cameras, but this move hints at a stronger push toward all-round flagship-level photography.

If this turns out to be accurate, it could significantly change how the Civi series is positioned in Xiaomi’s portfolio.

Display Sizes And Performance Upgrades Expected

The vanilla Xiaomi Civi 6 is said to feature a 6.59-inch display with 1.5K resolution. Meanwhile, the Civi 6 Pro could step up with a larger 6.83-inch 1.5K panel, giving it a more immersive feel.

On the performance side, both devices are expected to use MediaTek chipsets this time. The standard model may run on the Dimensity 8500, while the Pro variant could pack the more powerful Dimensity 9500.

Interestingly, earlier rumours had pointed toward a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for the standard model, but this newer leak suggests Xiaomi may be shifting its strategy.

Pricing And Launch Expectations

The Xiaomi Civi 6 series is tipped to launch in China first, continuing the lineup’s tradition of staying exclusive to the domestic market.

As for pricing, both devices are expected to start above CNY 3,000, which roughly translates to around Rs. 41,000. That would place them slightly higher than their predecessors, hinting at the added hardware upgrades.

A Quick Look Back At Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro

To understand the jump, it helps to look at the previous generation. The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, launched in May 2025, came with a 6.55-inch 1.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,200 nits.

It was powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and featured a Leica-backed triple camera system with two 50-megapixel sensors and a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens.

For selfies, it offered a 50-megapixel autofocus front camera. The device packed up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage, and a 6,000mAh battery with 67W wired charging.

Compared to that, the upcoming Civi 6 series appears to focus more heavily on zoom photography and display size enhancements.

What This Means For Xiaomi’s Strategy

If these leaks hold true, Xiaomi is clearly evolving the Civi lineup beyond just aesthetics and selfie cameras. With periscope zoom, larger displays, and newer chipsets, the series could start competing more directly with mainstream flagship devices.

That said, since these details are based on leaks, the final specifications could still change before launch.
