Vivo has been hinting at it for a while, but it is finally confirmed. The Vivo X300 Ultra is coming to India, and it will not arrive alone.
The company has also lined up the Vivo X300 FE alongside it, with both devices now showing up on official listings and Flipkart. That usually means the launch is not far off.
What stands out here is that Vivo is not changing much for India. The design and positioning remain very close to what we have already seen globally.

The Design Stays Familiar But The Focus Is Clear
If you have seen the China variant, this will look the same. The Vivo X300 Ultra keeps the large circular camera module, which is clearly meant to signal its camera-first approach. The FE model goes in a different direction with a horizontal pill-shaped layout, which feels more in line with mainstream flagships.
Both phones are being positioned around photography. Vivo is sticking with its partnership with Zeiss, and that continues to be a key part of the pitch.
That External Lens Kit Is Not Just A Gimmick
One thing Vivo is pushing harder this time is the external telephoto converter.
The X300 Ultra will support an attachable lens kit that extends zoom capabilities. This is not something you see often in mainstream phones, and it hints at Vivo trying to appeal to users who want more than just point and shoot convenience.
Whether people actually carry and use it regularly is another question, but the intent is clear. Vivo wants this phone to stand out in mobile photography.
Triple Cameras Across Both Models
Both the X300 Ultra and X300 FE are expected to feature triple rear cameras, tuned with Zeiss optics.
The Ultra is clearly the more aggressive camera play, while the FE looks like a slightly toned down version that still carries the same core idea.
The FE model is also expected to come in multiple colours, with green already teased.
Performance And Battery Look Straightforward
On the hardware side, the X300 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with a large 6,600mAh battery.
The FE is not far behind. It uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and packs a 6,500mAh battery, which should keep it competitive in daily use.
At least on paper, both phones are leaning into performance and endurance along with camera capabilities.
Pricing Gives A Rough Idea Of Positioning
The X300 Ultra has already launched in China starting at CNY 6,999, which roughly translates to around Rs 95,000. Higher variants go well past the Rs 1 lakh mark.
The Vivo X300 FE, which launched in Russia earlier, starts at around Rs 71,000 for its base configuration.
Indian pricing will likely shift a bit, but this gives a fair idea of where Vivo plans to position both devices.

What This Launch Really Means
Vivo is clearly doubling down on its camera focused identity in the premium segment.
The X300 Ultra is not trying to be subtle. Between the large camera module and the external lens support, it is leaning hard into photography as its main hook. The FE, on the other hand, looks like a more accessible version of that idea.
The real question is not what these phones offer on paper. It is whether users in India actually want a more modular, camera heavy smartphone experience.
