Vivo the Chinese smartphone maker has released the Vivo T5 device to selected markets around the world. The Vivo T5 Smartphone range is an addition to the existing lineup which comprises the Vivo T5 Pro 5G smartphone and the Vivo T5x 5G smartphone. The Vivo T5 device is powered by the latest Snapdragon processor and supports 4G connectivity.

The Vivo T5 is currently available in Mexico and comes in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. It is priced at MXN 5,799, which is roughly Rs. 32,000. Buyers can choose between Black and Golden colour options.

On the front, the phone features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. Vivo says the panel can reach up to 1,250 nits peak brightness and also offers 83 per cent NTSC colour coverage. The smartphone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings as well, which means it is designed to handle dust and water exposure better than regular mid-range phones.

Under the hood, the Vivo T5 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 processor built on a 6nm process. The chipset includes performance cores clocked up to 2.9GHz. The phone is paired with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.

With regards to taking photographs, Vivo has integrated two rear cameras into the T5 series. The main camera is powered by a 50-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, while the other is 2-megapixel and captures depth details. On the front, the smartphone gets a 32-megapixel selfie camera for video calls and selfies.

One of the biggest highlights of the device is its 7,200mAh battery. Vivo has paired it with 44W wired fast charging support. The company is clearly positioning the phone for users who prioritise long battery life and extended daily usage.

The Vivo T5 runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6 and supports features such as dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C, and an IR blaster. It also includes several sensors onboard along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.

In terms of size, the smartphone measures 166.64×78.43×8.39mm and weighs around 219g.
