Vodafone Idea (Vi) 5G Rollout: The 5G data network had been previously dominated by a few players like Jio and Airtel, but now there is another player in the market that is stepping inside this territory. Vodafone Idea (Vi) is expanding its 5G offerings across the country and is adding more cities and regions in its purview. As of now Vi has started expanding its footprint in Punjab by bringing several cities under its umbrella; apart from that, a 5G network is also available in two new districts in Tamil Nadu.
In another announcement the company said that its network services are now fully functional at 16 stations on Mumbai Aqua Line 3, which enables voice and network services for people who are using this route to travel.

Vi 5G Rollout In Punjab
The telecom operator company has confirmed that users in Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and Patiala can now access its 5G network, while Amritsar is next in line and is expected to get coverage by the end of the month.
The rollout isn't limited to Punjab. Vi has also switched on 5G services in Coimbatore, Tiruppur, and Vellore, alongside Bhopal, as it gradually expands its next-generation network footprint across the country.
For users, the upgrade means access to faster data speeds for activities such as high-quality video streaming, cloud gaming, video calls, quicker downloads, and cloud-based services. Vi says it is also using AI-powered Self-Optimizing Network (SON) technology, which helps the network automatically adjust and improve performance depending on usage patterns and demand.
The operator claims the deployment has been designed to offer stronger connectivity in crowded urban areas, industrial regions, and tourist hotspots where network demand is typically higher.
Network Returns To Mumbai Metro Aqua Line 3
Alongside its 5G expansion, Vi has also announced the restoration of mobile network services across 16 stations on Mumbai Metro's Aqua Line 3 corridor, running from Aarey JVLR to Acharya Atre Chowk.
Passengers travelling through stations such as Seepz MIDC Andheri, Marol Naka, CSMI Airport Terminal 2, Dadar, Siddhivinayak, and Worli will once again have access to mobile connectivity after services were temporarily unavailable.
With the network back online, commuters can use mobile data, make calls, and stay connected across stations, platforms, and transit areas throughout the route.

The company also said work is ongoing to bring connectivity to the remaining 11 stations between Science Centre and Cuffe Parade under Phase 2 of Aqua Line 3. That rollout is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Airtel has reportedly restored network access on the same metro line between Aarey-JVLR and Bandra Kurla Complex stations.
This version is closer to how a tech publication would actually write it rather than sounding like an announcement copied from a press release.
