Telegram has rolled out another feature packed update, and this one adds a little something for everyone. Whether you use the app for chatting with friends, managing large groups or running channels, the latest release introduces several tools that could make the experience a lot more useful.

The highlight of the update is a new Rich Text Editor, although there's a catch. It's currently available only to Telegram Premium subscribers.

Instead of typing plain text, users can now create much more polished messages right inside the app. The editor supports headings, tables, bullet lists, quotes and code blocks, making it easier to put together long announcements, guides or detailed posts. You can even insert photos and videos within the message itself instead of adding them separately.

Telegram says the editor is powered by its Cocoon AI tools and supports messages of up to 32,768 characters, so there's plenty of room if you need to write something detailed.

The update also introduces Communities, a feature that helps organise related groups, channels and bots in one place. Think of it as a hub where people can easily discover and join conversations around the same topic instead of hunting for individual groups.

Community admins can decide whether chats are visible to everyone or only to members of that particular chat. Members can also add new chats to a community, although administrators have the option to limit that through the settings.

Another useful addition is Ephemeral Bot Messages

If you've ever interacted with a bot in a busy group, you'll know how quickly replies can clutter the chat. With this feature, bots can now send messages that only you can see. These could be welcome messages, AI generated summaries, confirmation messages or even error alerts. The messages can appear automatically or after you use a supported command, which is marked with a dedicated icon in the bot menu.

Telegram hasn't forgotten about GIF lovers either

The company says users can now search through a library of more than 350 million GIFs across 36 languages, making it easier to find the right reaction or animation. Telegram also says these searches remain private, so your GIF searches aren't shared with anyone.

Overall, this isn't the kind of update that changes how Telegram works overnight. Instead, it adds a collection of smaller but useful features that improve messaging, make communities easier to manage and give Premium users a more capable writing tool inside the app.
