Tecno has taken the Pova 8 Pro 5G into luxury territory with its latest special edition. The company has partnered with Italian lifestyle brand Tonino Lamborghini to introduce a limited-edition version of the smartphone, marking their first smartphone collaboration.

The new model is all about the looks. It comes in a Tonino Lamborghini Black finish, with red detailing and a hexagonal pattern covering the rear panel. Tecno has also retained its Pulse Line design, but added a mirror-like structure underneath it to create a light-reflecting effect.

The Tonino Lamborghini branding is finished in metallic lettering on the back. There's also a custom 'L' signature on the phone's Alive Matrix Display, giving the special edition a few more design touches that aren't found on the regular version.

Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Edition Specifications

Despite the design changes, the core specifications remain familiar. The smartphone boots HiOS 16 based on Android 16, and Tecno has committed to two Android version upgrades along with three years of security updates.

The display is a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2,644x1,208 pixels. It supports refresh rates of up to 144Hz and has a pixel density of 429ppi. The screen covers 93.18 percent of the front, while peak brightness is rated at up to 4,500 nits. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the display.

At the heart of the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G processor, working alongside an Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. Buyers can get up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Tecno's memory expansion feature can use additional virtual RAM to take the total available memory to 24GB.

The rear camera setup consists of two sensors. The main camera uses a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-700C sensor with OIS, while an 8-megapixel sensor handles ultra-wide-angle shots. The camera module also incorporates the Alive Matrix Display, which can be customised. A 13-megapixel camera takes care of selfies and video calls.

The connectivity package includes 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and NFC. There's also a USB Type-C port, along with an infrared remote control. The phone includes an in-display fingerprint scanner and sensors such as an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, G-sensor, e-compass and gyroscope.

A 6,500mAh battery powers the handset, with support for 45W fast charging. The device measures 162.48 x 77.27 x 7.39mm and weighs 189 grams.

Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Edition Price, Availability

Tecno hasn't disclosed how much the limited-edition Pova 8 Pro 5G will cost or when it will go on sale. The company has also not shared details about its availability in India.

The phone's hardware remains largely unchanged from the standard Pova 8 Pro 5G. The regular model was launched in India last month with a price tag of Rs. 49,999.
