Tecno has officially confirmed that the Camon 50 Ultra 5G is coming to India. The smartphone, which was first unveiled globally earlier this year, is now set to make its India debut on July 17.

Ahead of the launch, the company has started teasing the handset through Amazon, giving us an early look at its design while also highlighting some of the AI-powered features that will be one of its biggest selling points. Although Tecno is keeping the full specification sheet under wraps for now, the global variant offers a fair idea of what Indian buyers can expect.

Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G India Launch Date

The Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G will launch in India on July 17 at 12pm IST. The smartphone will be available for purchase through Amazon after it goes official.

Official teasers reveal the handset in Cypress Green, Misty Purple and Nebula Titanium finishes. The phone features a flat frame with rounded edges and a vertically aligned camera module that houses three large camera sensors alongside an additional sensor, an LED flash and a red accent.

AI Features Will Be a Major Highlight

Rather than focusing only on camera hardware, Tecno is putting the spotlight on the software experience this time.

The company has confirmed that the Camon 50 Ultra 5G will include AI-powered tools that can enhance photos and remove unwanted objects from images. Tecno also says the phone combines a slim design with a durable build, while its battery is designed to comfortably last through a full day of use.

What to Expect From the Camon 50 Ultra 5G

Since the smartphone has already been announced globally at MWC 2026, most of its hardware specifications are already known, although Tecno is yet to confirm whether the Indian variant will be identical.

Globally, the Camon 50 Ultra 5G features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 4,500 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and runs Android 16 with HiOS 16.

Photography is expected to remain one of the phone's biggest strengths. The global model comes with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-700C primary camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. On the front, it houses a 13-megapixel selfie camera capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps.

Other features include IP68, IP69 and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings, MIL-STD-810 certification, Dolby Atmos-backed stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C and a 6,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging.

Tecno is expected to reveal the India pricing, storage variants and confirm the complete specification sheet when the Camon 50 Ultra 5G launches on July 17.
