Sony has expanded the colour lineup of its flagship WH-1000XM6 wireless headphones in India with the introduction of a new Sandstone finish. The new colour joins the existing Black, Platinum Silver, Midnight Blue, and Sand Pink options, giving buyers another choice without changing any of the hardware or features that the headphones are known for.

The Sandstone variant was first unveiled globally in May and has now made its way to the Indian market.

Sony WH-1000XM6 Price In India And Availability

Sony has priced the new Sandstone version of the WH-1000XM6 at Rs. 39,990, the same as the other colour options in the lineup.

The headphones originally debuted in India in September 2025 in Black, Platinum Silver, and Midnight Blue shades. Earlier this year, Sony added a Sand Pink variant, and the latest Sandstone finish takes the total number of colour options available in the country to five.

Interested buyers can purchase the headphones through Sony Centre stores, Amazon, Croma, Reliance Digital outlets, and Sony's ShopatSC online store.

Same Premium Features, New Look

Apart from the new colour, everything else remains unchanged. The Sony WH-1000XM6 continues to feature a closed-back over-ear design with 30mm drivers and support for Hi-Res Wireless Audio through LDAC.

The Sony WH-1000XM6 has the DSEE Extreme tech, which steps up the game for compressed audio by regaining lost details. Their noise-canceling is top-notch too. Sony's HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3 and a dozen microphones do most of the heavy lifting here. Plus, there’s Adaptive NC Optimiser, Ambient Sound Mode, Auto Ambient Sound, and Quick Attention for extra flexibility.

These headphones dive into 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinematic sound and multipoint connectivity, letting you jump between two devices without issues. Voice calls get clearer thanks to Sony's MEMS mic setup.

When it comes to connecting, the XM6 covers all bases with Bluetooth 5.3, SBC, AAC, LDAC, and LC3. Also handy, a 3.5mm cable's included if you prefer things old school.

Sony claims the headphones can deliver up to 30 hours of battery life with active noise cancellation enabled. Turning noise cancellation off extends the playback time to up to 40 hours on a single charge.

The headphones charge through a USB Type-C port and take around 3.5 hours to fully recharge. Weighing approximately 254g, the WH-1000XM6 ships with a carrying case in the box.
