Samsung has launched its 2026 Bespoke AI appliance lineup in India, bringing more AI features to its refrigerators, air conditioners and laundry appliances. But this time, the company is not just talking about adding AI to individual products. A big part of the pitch is getting these appliances to work together.
We were at ‘The Brief Gurugram’ event, where Samsung showed how its connected appliances can share information and respond to what is happening around the home. The idea is fairly simple: instead of having a refrigerator, AC or washing machine that works on its own, the different devices can become part of one connected system.

Samsung says the new lineup is built around four ideas: AI understanding the user, adapting to their needs, connecting different parts of the home and taking care of everyday tasks.
JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, said the company wants its AI appliances to fit around the way people already live.
“Our 2026 Bespoke AI range is designed to understand diverse lifestyles so that they become your AI Home Companion to deliver real-world convenience,” Park said.
According to Samsung, one in every two Samsung appliances sold in India is now a Bespoke AI appliance.
Samsung’s AI Refrigerator Can Keep Track Of What’s Inside, First Impressions
The Family Hub refrigerator is probably the clearest example of what Samsung is trying to do with its AI ecosystem.
The new model comes with a large 32-inch Family Hub display and AI Vision, with Google Gemini also being used for some of its AI experiences. On paper, the refrigerator can recognise food items, keep track of use-by dates and suggest recipes based on what is available.
We were able to get a first look at the experience. After getting a look at the connected refrigerator system, the food tracking is one of the features that stands out. The refrigerator can give a general description of the products stored inside and keep track of information related to their expiry.
More importantly, it can recognise when products are put into the refrigerator and when they are taken out. However, one thing to note here is that it gives a general idea of when the products will expire from the time the product is put inside the refrigerator, and it does not sense the expiring material.
So, instead of manually maintaining a list of everything sitting inside the fridge, the system is designed to keep that information updated as you use it.

The recipe feature is also more than simply showing a list of recipes. Users can select products available in the refrigerator and combine them to get suggestions based on those ingredients. The system can also find related cooking videos on YouTube, which means you can go from checking what is available in the fridge to actually finding something to cook.

Samsung is also bringing Family Care and Pet Care to the ecosystem. Pet Care can track a pet's activity and provide information such as how long it has been walked, although this depends on connected IoT devices working with the SmartThings ecosystem.
The same connected approach can be used for people in the household, with information from compatible connected devices accessible through the smart home system.
The AC Can Also Learn Your Routine
Samsung is extending the same idea to air conditioning with the Bespoke AI WindFree Pro AC.
The AC comes with AI-enabled controls and PM1.0 purification, while SmartThings and Samsung’s Home Appliance Remote Management system allow users to monitor and manage the appliance remotely.
The company has also introduced the Infinite 1-Way Cassette AC with WindFree technology for Indian homes. It uses 23,000 micro-holes to distribute cooling without the feeling of a direct draft. Samsung claims that its AI Energy Mode can reduce energy consumption by up to 30 per cent.
There is also a feature aimed at people who use Galaxy wearables while sleeping. Wearable Good Sleep can use sleep-related information from compatible Galaxy devices to adjust the AC settings and create a more comfortable sleeping environment.
Triple Motion Wings are designed to give users more control over the direction of the airflow.
One Screen To Control The Connected Home
The AI Home screen is another major part of Samsung’s new appliance strategy. Available on select devices, it works as a central place where users can control appliances, check information and interact with other connected devices.
Bixby is also getting an upgrade, including Voice ID. The feature can recognise individual users and personalise responses and controls based on who is speaking.
Then there is SmartThings, which essentially ties everything together. Samsung’s Family Care feature can send alerts when something unusual happens, such as a person not being active around a time when they normally would be.
Pet Care works along similar lines, providing activity tracking and reminders for things such as walks and care routines.
Of course, these features depend on having compatible connected devices in the first place. The refrigerator or AC alone cannot track everything happening around the house. The wider SmartThings and IoT setup is what makes these features possible.
AI Is Coming To Samsung’s Laundry Appliances Too
Samsung’s AI push also extends to laundry.
The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo comes with AI Wash & Dry, which can identify fabric types and adjust the wash and drying cycle accordingly. There is also a Pet Care Wash Cycle for washing pet accessories.
Samsung says its Smart Forward Software Updates will allow compatible appliances to receive new features and improvements over time. SmartThings Home Care and Home Appliance Remote Management can also be used to keep an eye on appliance status and service requirements.
The company is promising up to seven years of software updates through SmartThings for its new connected appliances.
Samsung Bespoke AI Appliances: Price In India
The Family Hub refrigerator has been launched in India at Rs. 4,00,690. The Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner costs Rs. 69,990.
The Infinite 1-Way Cassette AC starts at Rs. 1,60,000 and is available in 3.5kW, 5.2kW and 7.1kW cooling capacities through Samsung’s authorised channel partners.

Samsung’s 2026 lineup is clearly built around the idea that an AI home should do more than simply let users control appliances from their phones. The more interesting part is what happens when those devices start sharing information.
The Family Hub can keep track of food coming in and out of the refrigerator, suggest recipes using those ingredients, and even find videos to help prepare them. Other connected devices can add information about people, pets and household routines.
That is where Samsung’s AI Home pitch starts to make more sense. It is less about asking an appliance to do one clever trick and more about getting several devices to quietly handle small tasks in the background.
