Samsung One UI 8.5 Release Update: The wait is finally over for select Galaxy device users as today, May 11, 2026, marks the global rollout of One UI 8.5, which comes right after its debut in the tech giant's home country in Korea that took place on May 6. Joining the rollout wave with Orea this time are Europe, Hong Kong, India, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia and Taiwan, and other regions will get the update in the days to follow later.

Devices That Will Get The Update

The stable version of the One UI 8.5 update first came out on the Galaxy S25 Series, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7; now the wait is also over for several other Galaxy devices which will now jump on the bandwagon. Let's take a look at the complete list of devices that will receive the update in the upcoming days:

Apart from the above-mentioned Galaxy series, Samsung might be coming out with the One UI 8.5 update or some Galaxy A series devices as well, as far as Samsung Germany is concerned, but if the update will show up alongside the above-mentioned flagship devices is yet to be seen.

How To Update

As soon as the update becomes live, which might be a gradual timeline based on area, users with eligible devices will have the opportunity to install the update by following these steps: Settings>Software Update on their respective eligible devices. Users already on the beta programme will get a smaller size of update compared to those getting in on a fresh rollout from the previous One UI 8, which could be several GBs in size.
