Samsung has finally entered the smart glasses market. At Galaxy Unpacked 2026, the company unveiled the Galaxy Glasses, nearly two months after giving everyone a first look at the wearable during Google I/O. The new smart glasses have been developed with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster, and Samsung is clearly taking aim at Meta's Ray Ban smart glasses.
Rather than trying to replace your smartphone, the Galaxy Glasses are designed to make everyday tasks easier. They come with a built in camera that works with Google Gemini, allowing users to ask questions about whatever they're looking at. Whether it's identifying an object, translating text or finding more information, the AI can respond based on what the camera sees.
Samsung says the glasses can also handle everyday tasks such as reading out messages, summarising long conversations, making restaurant bookings and offering live translations. Users can control the wearable using voice commands, touch gestures or simple hand gestures, without needing to pull out their phone.
The glasses are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset. Samsung claims they can last up to nine hours on a single charge, while the charging case provides enough power for seven additional full charges. The company has also worked on thermal management to keep the glasses comfortable during extended use.
You can also take calls, listen to music and capture photos directly from the glasses. During calls, the wearable can even record your point of view and instantly share the footage through the companion app.
Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy Glasses will roll out in select global markets, although pricing and availability details are still under wraps.
