Samsung has finally brought its latest foldable smartphones to India. At Galaxy Unpacked 2026, the company announced the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8, with all three phones now available for pre orders. This year's lineup is all about refinement rather than a complete overhaul, with Samsung focusing on slimmer designs, better displays, upgraded cameras and a much bigger role for Galaxy AI.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra sits at the top of the lineup. It gets an 8 inch inner display, a 200MP primary camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
Samsung says it's also its thinnest Fold yet, measuring 4.1mm when unfolded and weighing 215g. The Fold8 Ultra starts at Rs. 1,99,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model, while the 512GB and 1TB variants are priced at Rs. 2,19,999 and Rs. 2,59,999, respectively. Buyers can pick from Graphite, Cream and Violet Shadow, while Green Shadow will be sold exclusively online.
The standard Galaxy Z Fold8 has also received a noticeable makeover. Samsung has gone with a wider screen ratio this time, making the phone feel more like a regular smartphone when folded. It also gets a brighter 3,000 nits display, a 4,800mAh battery, dual 50MP rear cameras and new camera tricks like My FanCam and Dual Recording. Prices begin at Rs. 1,79,999, with higher storage options available at Rs. 1,99,999 and Rs. 2,39,999.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip8 continues to target users looking for a compact foldable. At 180g and 6.1mm thick, Samsung says it's the slimmest Flip phone it has made so far. The biggest upgrade is the new AI powered FlexWindow, which lets users access apps, notifications and Gemini without unfolding the phone.
It also gets a 50MP main camera with ProVisual Engine, along with features like Flex Mode, Camcorder Grip and Super Steady. The Flip8 starts at Rs. 1,24,999, while the 512GB model costs Rs. 1,44,999.
Samsung is also offering launch offers across the lineup. Fold8 Ultra and Fold8 buyers can choose between a Rs. 10,000 upgrade bonus or bank and UPI cashback of up to Rs. 9,000, while Flip8 buyers get a Rs. 5,000 upgrade bonus or cashback of up to Rs. 4,000. No cost EMI options of up to 30 months are available through select partners.
On top of that, Samsung is bundling Samsung Care+ and the Galaxy Forever Plan, which includes accidental damage protection and an assured buyback value of up to 55 per cent.
