Samsung has just come out with another one of its offerings now in the global markets on Thursday, the Galaxy A27 5G. The new Galaxy device will sport 4 colourways and have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display and support up to a 120 Hz refresh rate. Inside there is a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor which comes coupled with 8GB RAM. For batteries, it has a modest 5,000mAh battery with 25W support for charging. This device succeeds last year's Galaxy A26 5G.

Specs And Features

When it comes to software features, this device comes with OneUI 8.5, which is based on Android 16 right out of the box. The phone is promised six generations of Android updates and will also get security upgrades for six years from the day the smartphone is launched. The Galaxy A27 5G also has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display that can go up to 120Hz when it comes to refresh rate.

Inside the device, the processor it sports is a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 built on 4 nm architecture. The device comes with 8GB RAM paired with 256GB storage, and apart from that, the storage can be expanded using a microSD card up to 2 TB.

On the camera front, the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G is equipped with a triple rear camera system led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS). It is accompanied by a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. For selfies and video calls, the handset features a 12-megapixel front-facing camera.

Samsung has also carried over several familiar features from its A-series lineup. The Galaxy A27 5G includes Knox Vault security for enhanced protection of sensitive data and comes with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. The smartphone measures 162.4 x 78.2 x 7.8mm and weighs 200g.

The Galaxy A27 5G also brings a range of AI-powered tools, including Circle to Search, Object Eraser and Voice Transcription. Users can choose between multiple AI assistants, with support for Google Gemini, Perplexity and Samsung's own Bixby assistant.

Price and Availability

The device comes for $349.99 in the global markets, which roughly translates to Rs 30,000. The Galaxy A27 5G will go on sale on July 14, sporting a black colour option. Pricing for this device in India is yet to be announced officially yet by the company. The company has confirmed its availability from July 3 in light green, blue, black and pink colour options.
