Resident EvilRequiem: Capcom's Resident Evil Requiem has sold more than six million copies now, the company has confirmed. This latest title has become the fastest-selling game to reach this milestone in the Resident Evil series. Capcom made this information available a few days after the company said it was in the development stage of a story expansion pack for the latest Resident Evil Requiem title.

Resident Evil: Requiem Sold Over 6 Million Copies
The game makers have confirmed that its latest title, Resident Evil Requiem, copies have crossed over six million in sales, as confirmed in an updated sales outlook in the company's press release. This milestone the game was able to achieve in a matter of over two weeks only, making it the first Resident Evil title to generate this kind of sales output in the entire series.
Capcom expressed, “Going forward, Capcom plans to implement several measures, such as ongoing support and additional game content, so players can continue to enjoy the title longer."
The developers are not stopping there, and a new story expansion pack for the latest title, Requiem, is also on the anvil, along with a flurry of updates and new content, and what will also come to the game is the much-awaited photo mode. The release date of the DLC has not been announced yet and will require some more time before it hits your consoles. “On behalf of the development team, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude. Thank you very much! We released an update the other day to fix a variety of issues, and we will continue to address any other bugs and performance issues,” Koshi Nakanishi, game director, said during the announcement that was made last week. “We hope to continue providing support on Resident Evil Requiem to live up to its positive reception,” he added further.

Resident Evil Requiem was dropped on February 27, 2026, on PC, PS5, Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch 2. The title was able to sell over 5 million copies in just the five days of its launch, which is a sizeable commercial gain and a milestone for Capcom, and on Metacritic the game is ranking as the highest user-rated game. For those who are unaware, this game features a horror-packed action-adventure shooter with dual protagonists, DSO agent Leon S. Kennedy and FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, both of which showcase a distinct playstyle.
