The Jio network has launched an offer of Rs 339 recharge for its customers across India. At the very first sight, this appears to be a common recharge offer; however, it comes with some distinguishing features as well.
This plan is built around a monthly validity, which means it lasts for one month instead of a fixed number of days like most regular plans.

What You Actually Get
The benefits here are pretty straightforward.
You get 1.5GB of data per day, unlimited voice calling, and 100 SMS per day. Along with that, Jio is bundling access to apps like JioTV and the JioTV AI Cloud service.
That said, there are no OTT subscriptions included with this plan.
No 5G Benefit Here
One thing to keep in mind is that this plan does not include 5G data.
Jio currently limits its 5G access to plans that offer at least 2GB of daily data. Since this one comes with 1.5GB per day, you are restricted to 4G usage.
How Much is the Cost Per Day?
If you were to consider the amount charged per day, the daily cost would range anywhere between Rs 10.93 and Rs 11.30 per day depending on how many days there are in a month.
This is a system that follows a pattern of a cycle each month, and therefore, you will have to recharge the card on the same date every month.
What Makes It Different From Rs 319 Plan
Here is where things get slightly interesting.
Jio already offers a Rs 319 plan with almost identical benefits. So why pay more?
The Rs 339 plan includes Rs 14.95 worth of talktime. It is a small addition and may not matter to most users, but there could be a niche group that still finds value in it.
Should You Even Consider It
For most users, this plan is about simplicity. You get calling, a decent amount of daily data, and a monthly validity without any extras.
But if you are looking for OTT benefits or 5G access, this is clearly not the plan for you.
In the end, it feels like Jio is giving users one more option rather than trying to completely change the game.
