Redmi is getting ready to introduce another variant in its popular Note lineup, and this one is arriving very soon. The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is set to launch in India on April 2, and ahead of the official debut, the company has already started revealing key details about what this “special edition” phone brings to the table.
From what’s been shared so far, the focus seems to be on refining the basics rather than completely changing things. One of the biggest upgrades comes in the battery department. The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G will pack a 5,800mAh battery, which is slightly larger than the 5,520mAh unit on the standard Redmi Note 15 5G. Redmi claims this could deliver over 44 hours of usage on a single charge. Fast charging is also part of the package, with support for 45W wired charging.
In terms of design and availability, the phone will be sold via Flipkart in India. It will come in three colour options: Carbon Black, Crimson Reserve (Red), and Frosted White. The Crimson Reserve variant stands out a bit more, as it features a vegan leather back and measures 7.82mm in thickness.
On the camera side, Redmi is taking a slightly different approach compared to the standard model. The Note 15 SE 5G will have a dual camera setup on the back, which will be housed in a squircle-shaped camera module. The camera will have a 50-megapixel “MasterPixel” camera capable of recording 4K videos. What is surprising is that the camera on the regular version of the Redmi Note 15 5G has a higher pixel density, 108 megapixels, along with an ultra-wide camera.
Coming to the performance of the phone, this phone will stick to familiar ground in this aspect as well. The phone will sport an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, which is the case with the base variant of this phone. The phone also promises one more thing that is 48 months of lag-free performance with 10 percent more GPU output and 30 percent more CPU output.

This new device by Redmi the Note 15 SE 5G seems like that it is just another version of the base variant only. The primary focus here seems to be on the battery life of this device, its design, and its performance. We will not have to wait long to know where this phone stands when it comes to other devices in the market right now.
