More than six months after bringing the Realme P4x 5G to India, Realme has now quietly introduced a 4G version of the smartphone in select global markets.
At first glance, the new Realme P4x 4G may look like just another budget smartphone refresh, but there's one detail that immediately stands out. Realme has packed an 8,000mAh battery into the device, making it even larger than the 7,000mAh unit found inside the 5G model.
The phone has debuted in Malaysia, where the lone 4GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at MYR 799. Buyers can pick it up in Rally White or Phantom Blue colours through online platforms including Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.
Battery capacity is clearly the main selling point here. Realme claims the phone supports 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, meaning users get a sizeable battery without sacrificing charging speeds. For people who prioritise endurance over raw performance, that could be the biggest reason to consider this model.
The rest of the package is aimed squarely at the budget segment. Up front, there's a 6.8-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel offers up to 900 nits brightness in High Brightness Mode and comes protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Unlike the Indian 5G variant, which uses a MediaTek chipset, the 4G model is powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor. It is paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. The phone runs Realme UI based on Android 16 out of the box.
For photography, Realme has opted for a 50-megapixel primary rear camera, while selfies and video calls are handled by a 5-megapixel front camera. The setup isn't particularly ambitious, but it should cover basic everyday photography needs.
Realme has also included an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, face unlock support, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 5, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The phone measures 8.78mm thick and weighs 219g, which isn't surprising given the enormous battery sitting inside.
For context, the Realme P4x 5G launched in India last December with a starting price of Rs. 15,499. There is currently no word on whether the new 4G version will make its way to the Indian market, but its arrival shows Realme is still betting that battery life remains one of the strongest selling points in the budget smartphone segment.
