Realme has introduced the Buds Air 8 Pro earphones in India along with other products, including the Realme 16T and Realme Watch S5. This latest product from Realme features a number of attributes such as adaptive active noise cancellation, dual driver support, Hi-Res wireless audio technology, and extended battery power designed to cater to users who enjoy streaming, calling, and gaming.
The Realme Buds Air 8 Pro are priced at Rs 6,999, though buyers can get a Rs 300 discount during the launch period. The earbuds come in Master White and Master Black colour options. Sales are set to begin at 12pm IST on June 3 and will continue till June 5 through Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra, Realme’s online store, and offline retail outlets.
On the hardware side, Realme has used a coaxial dual-driver setup that combines an 11mm dynamic bass driver with a 6mm micro-planar tweeter. The company says the earbuds support a frequency response range of 20Hz to 40kHz, covering lows, mids, and higher frequencies more effectively. Support for LHDC 5.0 Hi-Res wireless audio is also included for higher-quality wireless playback on compatible devices.
The earbuds feature adaptive ANC with noise reduction support of up to 55dB. There is also a Transparency Mode that lets outside sound pass through when needed, so users can stay aware of their surroundings without removing the earbuds.
For calls, each earbud houses three microphones, resulting in a six-microphone setup in total. Realme has also added a dedicated Voice Processing Unit that uses bone-conduction technology to improve voice pickup during calls. According to the company, the system is designed to reduce environmental noise and improve voice clarity using AI-backed optimisation.
Gaming-focused features are also part of the package. The Buds Air 8 Pro support a low-latency game mode with latency claimed to go as low as 45 ms. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 6.1, dual-device pairing, Google Fast Pair for Android devices, and personalised pairing pop-ups on supported Realme phones.
Other features include wear detection support for automatic play and pause, touch controls for playback and ANC switching, voice assistant support, and OTA firmware updates.
Battery life is another major focus here. Realme says the earbuds can deliver up to 12 hours of playback on a single charge, while the charging case pushes total battery life to up to 50 hours. The case uses a USB Type-C port for charging, and a quick 10-minute charge is claimed to provide up to 11 hours of music playback. Fully charging the earbuds and case takes roughly two hours.
The Realme Buds Air 8 Pro also carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. Each earbud weighs around 4.8g, while the combined weight of the earbuds and charging case is approximately 53g.
