Poco has just dropped a new line-up of smartphone devices in India, namely, the Poco X8 Pro 5G, Poco X8 Pro Max 5G, and its showstopper for this line-up, the Poco X8 Pro Iron Man Edition. Prospective buyers can purchase the devices starting from March 23 from 12PM onwards.

Poco X8 Pro Series Features

Both the Poco X8 Pro and the Pro Max version sport a similar look with a dual camera setup and a metallic frame. Both the devices also come with multiple layers of protection from dust and water and carry IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K resistance ratings. When it comes to screen sizes, the Pro version hosts a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, and on the flip side, the Poco X8 Pro Max hosts a larger display of 6.83 inches. As far as refresh rate is concerned, both the displays support adaptive refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120 Hz and have a peak brightness of 3,500 nits.

The silicon under the hood powering the devices is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset for the Poco X8 Pro Max. The lower Pro variant hosts a Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor. As far as RAM and storage configurations are concerned, the Pro variant comes with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage with 8GB+256GB, 8GB+512GB, and 12GB+512GB. The Poco X8 Pro Max, on the other hand, comes with LPDDR5X 9600 Mbps RAM and UFS 4.1 storage with the following options:12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB.

As far as the cameras are concerned, both the devices come equipped with a 50 MP main lens paired up with a secondary camera lens of 8 MP, and at the front for selfies and video calls you get a 20 MP shooter. An amped-up feature in the Pro Max version is the Fusion 600 sensor for its main lens. Both devices are capable of recording 4K video at 60 fps. In the battery department both the devices come with different capacities, while the Pro version sports a 6,500 mAh battery, the higher Pro Max variant comes with a massive 9,000 mAh battery. Both the devices have 100W fast charging and 27W reverse charging support.

Pricing And Availability

Poco has announced the India pricing for its X8 Pro lineup, with the standard Poco X8 Pro 5G starting at Rs. 32,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. If you want more RAM, the 12GB + 256GB option is priced at Rs. 35,999. There’s also a themed Iron Man Edition, which comes only in a 12GB + 256GB configuration and is priced at Rs. 37,999.

The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G sits a tier above. Its base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs. 42,999, while the higher storage version with 512GB comes in at Rs. 46,999.

On the offers front, Poco is providing an instant discount of up to Rs. 3,000 when purchases are made using HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, or SBI cards.

Both models will be available for purchase starting March 23 at 12 pm IST, exclusively via Flipkart. In terms of finishes, the Poco X8 Pro 5G comes in Black, Green, and White, whereas the Pro Max version is available in Black, Blue, and White.
