Poco M8x 5G Launched: Is This The Best Budget Device Under ₹25,000 In India? Snapdragon Processor And More Inside

Poco M8x 5G marked its debut on Friday, and this device joins the mid-range M8 lineup of the company. The device can be bought through e-commerce platforms and comes in various colourways, and one distinct shade is its vegan leather finish in green on the back. The Poco M8x 5G will run on an octa-core processor from the Snapdragon 4 Gen series and comes in two RAM and storage configurations to choose from.

Poco M8x 5G Features and Specs

The device sports the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor, which is an octa-core processor built on a 4nm process. On AnTuTu, the device is claimed to have scored above 6,50,000 points. The highest variant of the device has 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

For display, the device comes with a massive 6.9-inch HD+ LCD touchscreen and can support up to a 120 Hz refresh rate. For glass protection, there is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. For situations when your fingers get damp, the device also comes with Wet Touch 2.0 for better touch response. For dust and water resistance, the device has an IP64 rating.

In the camera department, the device has a primary 50MP shooter with 2X digital zoom, paired with a 2MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, the device comes with an 8-MP front camera, and the device is also capable of 1080p video recording.

For power backup, there is a big 7,900 mAh cell in the device, which is supported by 45W wired fast charging, and the device also has 22.5W reverse charging capabilities. The company has claimed that 35 hours of social media scrolling, GPS-based navigation for 13 hours, 27 days of messaging or 64 hours of music playback are possible with just a single charge.

Connection and Software

This is a dual-SIM device and also comes with the latest OS from Xiaomi, based on Android 16, the HyperOS 3. The company has promised that the device will get four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

Poco M8x India Price And Availability

The device is slated to go on sale in India on August 27 at 12 PM IST via the e-commerce platform Flipkart. The pricing for the device starts at ₹20,999 for the 4GB+128GB RAM and storage variant. The higher variant, on the other hand which has 6GB+128GB RAM and storage, will cost you ₹22,999. The company has also offered some bank discounts of ₹2,000 to its buyers.
