In its quest to introduce more budget-friendly smartphones to its N series of handsets in India, OnePlus has unveiled its latest offering in the form of the OnePlus N6x smartphone. While positioning itself just below the recently launched OnePlus N6, the OnePlus N6x aims to bring to the table a device that has an extremely long battery life, which is made possible by the presence of a large 7,000mAh battery.

The OnePlus N6x comes in two variants, including 4GB RAM & 64GB Storage, priced at Rs. 20,999. Buyers using eligible bank cards can avail of an instant discount of Rs. 1,500, and the company is also offering up to six months of no-cost EMI. The smartphone will go on sale from August 4 at 12pm IST through Amazon and the official OnePlus online store. It will be available in Burgundy Red and Ice Blue colour options.

On the front, the phone features a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 900 nits. OnePlus says users can switch between vivid and natural colour profiles, adjust the display's colour temperature, and enable eye comfort features for extended viewing. The handset also carries an MIL-STD-810H durability certification.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage. To keep temperatures in check during gaming or extended use, OnePlus has included a vapour chamber cooling system with a heat dissipation area of 13,280 square millimetres.

For photography, the OnePlus N6x gets a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and support for up to 10x digital zoom, while selfies and video calls are handled by a 5-megapixel front camera. The handset supports video recording at up to 1080p resolution at 30fps.

The biggest talking point, however, is the battery. OnePlus has equipped the N6x with a 7,000mAh unit, which is among the largest in this price segment. It supports 15W wired fast charging and can also deliver 5W reverse wired charging for compatible accessories. The smartphone measures 166.38x78.13x8.65mm and weighs 214g.
