UK-based tech company Nothing has issued a stern warning to consumers in India after counterfeit versions of its products carrying the firm’s branding were seized by authorities in that country. The development comes as the Carl Pei-led company is growing its footprint in India—a region where it has seen shipment growth and recently launched its first branded retail store. This rise in counterfeit devices is a real danger to consumer safety while also damaging trust in the brand, says Nothing.
Delhi Police Seize Fake Nothing and CMF Products
In an announcement video published online, Nothing India Co-Founder and President Akis Evangelidis said that fraudulent products with the Nothing and sub-brand CMF branding have made their way into the Indian market, as per reports from Gadgets 360. The company says it worked with police in different cities to solve the problem.

The video shows Delhi Police conducting raids in local electronics markets, which began last year. According to the company, authorities seized more than 1,100 fake charging adapters and true wireless stereo (TWS) headsets as part of efforts to “identify and dismantle counterfeit supply chains”.

Nature of the Counterfeit Products
Evangelidis noted that some counterfeit items were exact replicas of genuine Nothing products, while others were devices or colour variants never officially launched by the company. The issue is not limited to offline markets, as several e-commerce listings reportedly misuse Nothing and CMF branding or falsely claim compatibility with Nothing devices.

Nothing’s Advice to Consumers
Nothing urged customers to verify products carefully before purchase. Evangelidis advised checking seller ratings and reviews, noting that counterfeit products typically have very few reviews compared to genuine listings.
India Focus and Market Growth
The warning comes shortly after Nothing opened its first Indian-branded store in Bengaluru and shifted CMF’s operations to India as a registered entity. According to Counterpoint Research’s India Smartphone Market Share report for Q4 2025, Nothing recorded a 32 per cent year-on-year growth in smartphone shipments.
