Nothing Phone (4b) launch: The London-based smartphone maker has been teasing the launch of its latest and newest 'b' series device for a while now, and the company on Monday confirmed that the first device that will make its debut under this new 'B' series lineup will be the Nothing Phone 4b. The company has now announced on Tuesday that its new Nothing Phone (4b) will be making its debut on Tuesday, 7 July, 2026, at 4PM IST.

This 'b' series lineup will act as a new entry point into Nothing's ecosystem. On Monday, Nothing India Co-Founder and President Akis Evangelidis took to X to explain the idea behind the new lineup. According to him, the 'b' series will sit below the company's existing A series of smartphones, helping Nothing cater to a new segment of buyers without disrupting its current product structure.

Explaining the strategy, Evangelidis wrote, “The B Series builds on the success of the A Series by expanding into a new segment while maintaining a clear product hierarchy.”

He also clarified how Nothing's naming convention is designed to work as the portfolio grows. According to Evangelidis, the number in a device's name represents its generation, while the letter denotes the segment it belongs to. As he put it, “This avoids overusing suffixes and provides a clearer naming structure as the portfolio expands.”

The explanation comes shortly after Nothing began teasing a new 'b' series smartphone. The company later hinted that the upcoming device could be called the Nothing Phone 4b.

While Nothing is still keeping most details under wraps, a few things have already surfaced. The handset is confirmed to be sold through Flipkart in India, and teaser images have offered an early glimpse of its design. The phone appears to feature a single rear camera setup and retains Nothing's signature transparent rear panel, complete with visible screws and internal design elements.

The teasers also suggest a flat back and rounded corners, giving the device a familiar look that resembles the higher-end Phone 4a series. For now, the company hasn't revealed specifications or pricing, but the latest comments make it clear that the B series is intended to open the door to a more affordable segment while keeping Nothing's product lineup easy to understand.
