Nothing isn't just launching a new smartphone on July 7. The company has now confirmed that the Phone 4b will also get a special RCB Edition, giving fans of Royal Challengers Bengaluru something extra to look forward to.
The limited-edition device will debut alongside the standard Nothing Phone 4b, but unlike the regular model, it won't be available through the usual sales channels on day one. Instead, buyers will have to head to Nothing's first branded store in Bengaluru, where the company is hosting an exclusive drop event on the day of the launch.
According to Nothing, sales of the Phone 4b RCB Edition will begin at 4pm IST on July 7, shortly after the smartphone is unveiled. The company has made it clear that this isn't a regular colour option either. It describes the device as a limited-edition collectible and says only a small number of units will be available, with sales taking place on a first-come, first-served basis.
Nothing has also offered a first look at the special edition phone, and while the overall design remains unchanged, it carries a clear RCB identity. The rear panel gets the Royal Challengers Bengaluru insignia, while the phone itself is finished in a shade of red inspired by the team's jersey. The side buttons, meanwhile, are finished in black, adding a bit of contrast to the overall look.
The collaboration doesn't come as a surprise. Earlier this year, Nothing announced its partnership with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, becoming both the team's jersey sponsor and title sponsor for the 2026 IPL season. Around the same time, the company also opened its first branded retail store in India on Bengaluru's 100 Feet Road, making the city a fitting venue for the special edition's first sale.
As for the standard Phone 4b, it is set to go official in India on July 7 at 3:30pm IST. The smartphone will later be available through Flipkart, and Nothing has already started revealing a few details ahead of launch.
The company has confirmed that the Phone 4b will be offered in at least a Blue colour option and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, although it is still keeping the exact processor under wraps.
By announcing the RCB Edition before launch, Nothing is adding a bit more excitement to what is already an important product for the brand. The Phone 4b will be the company's first smartphone in the new 'b' series, while the special edition gives cricket fans a chance to own a version that is likely to remain exclusive long after the launch event is over.
