Vivo has added another premium foldable to its India portfolio with the launch of the X Fold 6. The book-style handset made its debut in China earlier this year and is now available to Indian buyers, with a price tag of Rs. 2,19,999.

There is only one configuration in the country, offering 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Pre-bookings have already started, while the first sale is scheduled for October 13 through the Vivo India e-store. Buyers can pick between Nebula Teal and Prism Black.

Vivo is also throwing in several launch offers. Customers purchasing the phone can get instant cashback of up to Rs. 26,400, along with an exchange bonus of up to 10 percent or no-cost EMI for up to 24 months. The company is also bundling three months of Google AI Pro with the handset.

Those buying the foldable from offline stores have some additional options. An Easy EMI plan starts at Rs. 7,333 a month for 30 months with zero down payment, while instant cashback can go up to Rs. 26,400. The V-Upgrade programme offers an exchange bonus of up to 12 percent, and Vivo is offering up to 40 percent off on V-Shield screen damage protection. Pre-booking customers will additionally receive priority access to Vivo Vision experience zones.

Two AMOLED Screens On The Vivo X Fold 6

Open up the X Fold 6 and the main screen measures 8.02 inches. This is a foldable AMOLED panel with a 2,504 x 2,312-pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 424ppi pixel density. Vivo has also included 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage, HDR support and up to 300Hz touch sampling.

The outer display is smaller at 6.51 inches, but it retains several of the same features. It uses an AMOLED panel with a 1,120 x 2,528-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Performance comes from MediaTek's 3nm Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset. The processor is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, so there is no shortage of either memory or onboard space in the Indian model.

On the software side, Vivo ships the X Fold 6 with OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.

200MP Zeiss Camera Setup

The camera hardware gets plenty of attention too. At the back, the X Fold 6 carries three cameras tuned by Zeiss, with a 200-megapixel primary sensor taking charge of the setup. It has an f/1.68 aperture and optical image stabilisation.

For wider shots, there is a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with an f/2.05 aperture. The third camera is a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor with an f/2.57 aperture and support for up to 100x digital zoom.

Vivo has not limited the selfie camera to the outer screen. Both the cover display and the large inner screen have their own 20-megapixel cameras with f/2.4 apertures. Video recording goes up to 8K resolution.

6,900mAh Battery And IP Ratings

Battery life is another area where Vivo has gone big. The X Fold 6 packs a 6,900mAh battery and supports 80W wired charging.

The connectivity package includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB Type-C. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor handles biometric authentication, with face unlock available as another option. Vivo says the foldable has IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The phone measures 157.16 x 145.66 x 4.40mm when opened and 157.16 x 74.26 x 9.40mm when folded. Despite packing a large battery and high-end hardware, it weighs around 228g.
