Vivo has just launched another smartphone in the Indian market on Tuesday, which adds to its V series lineup. This new device will be a successor to V70, which made its way to the shelves in February. With a Snapdragon Chipset inside and a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, let's take a deep dive into what the device has to offer this time.

Vivo V80 Specs And Features

Running on Android 17-based OriginOS 7, the device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Chipset under the hood, paired up with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device also has dual nano-SIMs. The device, as said before, has a 6.59-inch AMOLED display which supports up to a 144 Hz refresh rate. The device has 5000 nits of peak brightness.

Speaking of the camera department, the Vivo 80 has a camera tuned in partnership with Zeiss. The setup includes a 50 MP main lens with autofocus, an f/1.88 aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS). There is also a 50 MP Zeiss telephoto shooter which also has autofocus and OIS. Apart from that there is also an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera.

The Vivo V80 uses a 50-megapixel Zeiss Group selfie camera for selfies and video calls. The front camera comes with autofocus, an f/2.0 aperture and a 92-degree field of view.

The phone covers the usual connectivity options, including 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS and NFC. It has a USB Type-C port as well, though the port supports the older USB 2.0 standard. Vivo has also included an infrared blaster and an X-axis linear motor. For sensors, the V80 gets an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and electronic compass.

A 7,200mAh battery powers the Vivo V80, and it can be charged at up to 90W. For dust and water resistance the device also supports IP68 and IP69 ratings. It measures 157.52 x 74.33 x 7.69mm and weighs 203g.

Vivo V80 Price in India, Availability

The Vivo V80 will start at Rs. 62,999 in India for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The 8GB + 256GB version is priced at Rs. 69,999, while the 8GB + 512GB variant will cost Rs. 79,999.

Vivo is offering the phone in Stellar Black, Horizon Blue and Sunrise Anthem. It will be available to buy from October 13 through Flipkart and Vivo's online store.

Vivo is also offering a couple of launch benefits. Buyers can choose between a 10 percent instant cashback and a 10 percent exchange bonus. The company is also giving customers 100GB of Google One storage at no extra cost.
