Oppo has confirmed that its Find X10 Pro Max is headed to India, with the flagship set to arrive in the country in the coming weeks. The company has not announced an exact launch date yet, but has confirmed that the phone will be among the first smartphones to use MediaTek's new Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.

The announcement was made at MediaTek's Tech Day event on Tuesday, where Oppo India and MediaTek revealed plans for the India launch. The Find X10 Pro Max was introduced in China last month, along with the Find X10 and Find X10 E.

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max To Bring New Dimensity Chipset

The Dimensity 9600 Pro is built on a 2nm process and can reach clock speeds of up to 4.55GHz. MediaTek has focused heavily on both performance and on-device AI with the new chip, including support for what it calls agentic AI experiences.

Under the hood, the chipset uses two C2-Ultra cores running at up to 4.55GHz, three C2-Pro cores reaching 4.35GHz and three more C2-Pro cores clocked at 3.1GHz.

MediaTek says the new platform can deliver up to 17 per cent higher single-core performance and up to 15 per cent better multi-core performance than the previous-generation chipset. How much of that difference will be noticeable in everyday use on the Find X10 Pro Max will depend on how Oppo tunes the phone.

AI is another big part of the Dimensity 9600 Pro. It has a dual-NPU setup and MediaTek's Dimensity Agentic AI Engine, while the company claims the platform can handle AI models with up to 30 billion parameters. Oppo will also introduce its own Laminar Flow Engine with the Find X10 series.

Gaming gets plenty of attention too. The chipset uses MediaTek's G2-Ultra NX GPU and, with the company's HyperEngine technologies, is claimed to support gaming at frame rates of up to 185fps.

The camera side of the chipset is equally feature-heavy. MediaTek's Imagiq 1290 ISP and AI Imaging Fusion Architecture support features including NPU-assisted 60fps motion capture, 4K video recording at up to 240fps for slow-motion footage and 4K120 cinematic log recording.

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Specifications

There is already a fair idea of what to expect from the Find X10 Pro Max, thanks to its China launch. The phone runs Android 17-based ColorOS 17 and features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with support for up to a 144Hz refresh rate.

Oppo has also given the handset IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against dust and water. Around the back, it carries a Hasselblad-tuned triple-camera setup, with a 200-megapixel primary camera leading the system. A 50-megapixel camera handles selfies and video calls.

One of the phone's standout hardware features is its 8,000mAh battery. It supports 80W wired charging, along with 50W wireless charging.

The China pricing does not give us a confirmed indication of what the phone will cost in India, and Oppo is yet to reveal the Indian price. For now, the company has only confirmed the Find X10 Pro Max's arrival, with the exact launch date expected to be announced closer to the India debut.
