Apple has had a busy last month, with September marking the launch of its latest iPhone 18 series and the highly anticipated iPhone Duo. But it seems Apple does not want to stop just yet, and something similar can be expected this month as well. According to a report, Apple may be making moves to expand its smart home ecosystem. Apart from the smart home portfolio that's been on the anvil for a while, some Mac models could also join the showcase this month, along with the latest generation of iPad mini.
Apple On The Way To Launch New Products This Month?
October 13 could mark the day when Apple comes out with its new smart home hub, a second-generation HomePod, along with the updated Apple TV 4K, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. But that's not it; the final week of October could see another product launch, as suggested by MacRumors, which has cited information from sources familiar with the company's next move, and this product launch could likely include the all-new Macs.

Gurman has also suggested that October 13 could be the day Apple holds an event for the smart home products, and not just announcements through press releases.
Smart Home Hub To Take The Spotlight
Out of all the expected products this month, the smart home hub is making the most noise, as it has been something that has been in development for a while now according to rumours. The supposed device could sport a 6-inch square display and might be made available in tablet and wall-mounted versions.
This hub is expected to come with multiple features like FaceTime, photo viewing, widgets, music playback as well as Apple latest innovation in AI Siri AI, which might play a central in terms of how the ecosystem is controlled and more as far as interface is concerned.
Apart from this, the HomePod mini and the 4K Apple TV could also come with some new upgrades. Design-wise, Apple might be leading with a similar philosophy, but Apple Intelligence is something that might be making its way to these latest products as Apple pushes towards integrating Artificial intelligence.
The HomePod mini could be in line for a bigger refresh than its design suggests. Apple is reportedly planning a newer chip, better audio and its N1 wireless chip for the smart speaker. More colour options are also said to be on the way. The Apple TV 4K could get a similar hardware boost, with a faster chip and the N1 wireless chip, while Apple may also introduce an updated Siri Remote.
Macs Might Be Launched As Well
Apple is also expected to have more Mac and iPad launches lined up for October. Among them are the rumoured higher-end MacBook Pro models with OLED displays, as well as a base 14-inch MacBook Pro running on the M6 chip. A new iMac using the same generation of Apple silicon could arrive alongside them. The iPad mini is reportedly getting an upgrade too, with Apple said to be working on a model featuring an OLED display and the A20 Pro chip.
And there may be one final launch towards the end of the month. Apple is reportedly preparing a high-end Mac Studio configuration with the M5 Ultra chip and up to 512GB of RAM. The model is currently expected to arrive in "late October".
