It is now confirmed by Ubisoft that multiple new Assassin's Creed and Far Cry games are currently in development; this signals a strong and long-term pipeline for its biggest franchises. This confirmation is directly from Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, who revealed that single-player and multiplayer titles are both in the works alongside the two new Far Cry projects. Ubisoft’s newly established Vantage Studios is working on its development, which now oversees the company’s core franchises.

Vantage Studios Takes Charge of Key Franchises

This announcement was made by Yves Guillemot in a recent interview with Variety. The newly formed Vantage Studios, backed by Tencent and launched in October 2025, is now responsible for Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six.

“We have a solid pipeline underway across Vantage Studios. Under the “Assassin's Creed” brand, several titles are in development, spanning both single-player and multiplayer experiences, with the ambition to further grow a community that exceeded 30 million players last year,” Guillemot said.

“On 'Far Cry', anticipation is high, and we currently have two very promising projects in development,” he added.

Assassin’s Creed Games Currently in the Pipeline

Several of the Assassin's Creed projects are in the works right now. And we know about a few already, for example, the rumoured Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag remake, which might drop in 2026, and Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe.

Hexe was first teased at Ubisoft Forward 2022 and is set during the 16th-century witch trials. It's supposed to be pretty different from Assassin's Creed Shadows. Plus, there's a mobile game called Assassin's Creed Jade coming, and they're also busy remaking a few of the older Assassin's Creed titles.

Far Cry and Other Ubisoft Projects

For now, Ubisoft has not revealed any details about the Far Cry game. Seeing the last launch of its franchise, it was launched back in 2021. Other than games, Guillemot confirmed that a live-action Assassin’s Creed series is coming to Netflix. Also, a Watch Dogs feature film has completed production, and even a Far Cry live-action show is in development at FX.
