The Motorola Razr Fold is finally making its way to India, and the company has now confirmed it through an official microsite. After debuting globally at MWC earlier this year and launching in the US recently, the foldable is now gearing up for its India entry, expected sometime in May.
The microsite, which is already live on Flipkart, gives us an early look at the phone’s design. It appears to be identical to the global variant and is shown in a Black colour option. While an exact launch date has not been revealed yet, the listing makes one thing clear. The India launch is close.

A Proper Book-Style Foldable
Unlike the traditional Razr clamshell design, this device takes a different route. The Razr Fold is Motorola’s first book-style foldable, meaning it opens like a tablet. This puts it directly in competition with other premium foldables in the market.
On the inside, the phone features a large 8.1-inch 2K LTPO pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 6,200 nits peak brightness. This will provide you with an eye-catching and vibrant viewing experience regardless of multitasking or content consumption.
Externally, we have the 6.6-inch LTPO pOLED cover display that has a maximum refresh rate of 165 Hz. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 protection and can achieve a maximum brightness of 6,000 nits.
Flagship-Level Performance Inside The Device
Inside the device, we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset based on the latest 3-nanometre process technology. There is also the Adreno A829 GPU and Hexagon NPU-powered AI Engine. As for storage, the Razr Fold supports up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 internal storage.
Clearly, this configuration is what makes the device capable of performing any kind of intensive operations.
Battery & Durability
Motorola has put a silicon-carbon battery of size 6,000mAh in the folding smartphone, making it a large-sized battery. Its features of 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging make it easy to maintain power and minimise downtime.
The phone reportedly has an IP49 rating for dust and water-resistant quality, making it more durable than other models of the same category, which are often fragile.

Next Expectations
Now that the official teaser for India's launch of the Motorola Razr Fold is confirmed, it would not take long to unveil the price and availability information.
Moreover, this device is expected to release in China on May 19, which can provide a better insight into its position prior to its launch in India.
Overall, the Motorola Razr Fold appears to be an impressive model of its category with numerous features. However, it would become clear how it would compete with other competitors after its official launch and price announcement.
