Motorola Edge 70 Max India Launch Date

The Motorola Edge 70 Max will be unveiled in India on July 15 at 12pm IST and will be sold through Flipkart after its launch.

Official teasers show the phone with a flat display, slim bezels and a square rear camera module. At launch, it will be offered in light blue and green colour options.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 144Hz Display Confirmed

Powering the Edge 70 Max will be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. Motorola claims the chip brings a 46 percent improvement in AI performance through its upgraded NPU. The phone is also said to achieve an AnTuTu score of more than 3 million, support up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and handle on-device AI tasks.

To keep temperatures under control, Motorola has equipped the handset with its ArcticMesh cooling system, which includes a 5,500sq mm vapour chamber designed to improve heat dissipation during intensive workloads such as gaming.

The company has also confirmed a Quad HD+ LTPO display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a claimed peak brightness of up to 7,000 nits. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and supports 10-bit colour, the DCI-P3 colour gamut and a 95.12 percent screen-to-body ratio.

For gamers, Motorola says the Edge 70 Max will support BGMI gameplay at up to 120fps.

Separately, WinFuture's Roland Quandt has claimed the phone could feature a 6.82-inch display, although Motorola is yet to officially confirm the screen size.

Big Battery With Magnetic Wireless Charging

Battery life appears to be another major focus for the Edge 70 Max. Motorola has confirmed that the handset will pack a 7,100mAh battery, which it claims can deliver up to 58 hours of usage on a single charge.
