Motorola has taken the wraps off several details about its next Android tablet even before its official launch. The company has confirmed that the Moto Pad 70 will make its India debut on August 9, and a newly listed Flipkart microsite has already revealed what buyers can expect from the upcoming device.

From a large 2.5K display and bundled stylus to AI features and long term software support, Motorola seems to be positioning the Moto Pad 70 as a tablet that's equally suited for work and entertainment.

Moto Pad 70 India Launch Date

The Moto Pad 70 is scheduled to launch in India on August 9 and will be available through Flipkart. Ahead of the announcement, the retailer has published a teaser page confirming several of the tablet's hardware and software features.

Moto Pad 70 Specifications

One of the first things that stands out is the display. Motorola has confirmed that the tablet will feature a 12.1 inch 2.5K panel with up to 800 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode (HBM) and 96 percent DCI P3 colour gamut coverage. On paper, it looks well equipped for everything from streaming movies to editing documents.

Unlike many tablets that sell the stylus separately, Motorola will bundle the Moto Pen in the box. It supports 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, along with tilt detection and palm rejection, making it suitable for handwriting, note taking and sketching.

The company is also bringing a host of AI powered tools to the tablet. Features such as AI Rewrite, AI Summary, AI Continue Writing and Circle to Search have all been confirmed, while Google Gemini will be integrated for AI assistance across the device.

Powering the Moto Pad 70 is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset. Motorola has also packed in a 10,200mAh battery with support for 68W TurboPower charging, which should make it easier to keep the tablet going through long work sessions or extended media consumption.

The tablet measures 6.29mm in thickness and weighs 530g. It will also support the optional Moto Folio Keyboard, which attaches using magnetic connectors and pogo pins, turning the tablet into a more laptop like setup for productivity.

For multimedia, Motorola has equipped the Moto Pad 70 with quad speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos. It will also support Smart Connect, allowing users to move files and continue tasks seamlessly across compatible Motorola devices.

On the software side, the tablet will ship with Android 16 out of the box. Motorola has promised OS upgrades up to Android 18 and security updates until 2030, giving buyers a fairly long software support window.

Meanwhile, Motorola is also gearing up to launch the Moto Pad 70 Groove in India on July 31. The company has already confirmed that the tablet will feature the same 12.1 inch 2.5K display and 10,200mAh battery.
