Motorola has launched the Moto Pad 70 Groove in India, bringing a premium Android tablet that puts equal focus on entertainment and productivity. The new offering packs a large 12.1-inch display, a JBL-tuned speaker system, AI-powered software features and a massive battery, while a built-in kickstand is aimed at making it more convenient to use for work, streaming and video calls.
Priced at Rs. 36,999, the Moto Pad 70 Groove is available in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Buyers can avail of an instant bank discount of Rs. 3,000 on select cards, bringing the effective price down to Rs. 33,999. The tablet comes in a Pantone Blue Surf finish and will go on sale from August 7 through Flipkart, Motorola's official website and retail outlets across India.

The Moto Pad 70 Groove features a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 2.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports Dolby Vision, HDR10 and the DCI-P3 colour gamut, while brightness goes up to 800 nits in High Brightness Mode.
Under the hood, Motorola has opted for MediaTek's Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The tablet ships with Android 16-based Hello UI and is scheduled to receive Android updates up to Android 18, along with four years of security patches.
Motorola is also betting heavily on AI. The tablet comes preloaded with Google Gemini, Circle to Search, AI Writing Tools, AI Notes and Smarter Reader. It also supports Smart Connect, allowing users to share files, mirror screens and switch between compatible Motorola devices more seamlessly.
Audio is one of the biggest talking points of the Moto Pad 70 Groove. Instead of the usual quad-speaker setup seen on many tablets, Motorola has equipped it with a 9-unit JBL Pro speaker system that includes four tweeters, three woofers and two passive radiators for enhanced bass. Dolby Atmos support is included, alongside Bluetooth Speaker Mode and Live Transcript with translation support for more than 40 languages.
For imaging, the tablet houses a 13-megapixel autofocus camera on the back and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. It also supports 4K video playback. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and a USB Type-C port, although users looking for a wired audio connection will have to rely on adapters or wireless earphones as there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.
Powering the device is a 10,200mAh battery with support for 45W TurboPower charging. Motorola claims users can stream YouTube videos for up to 15 hours on a single charge, while just 10 minutes of charging is said to provide up to two hours of usage.
The tablet has a slim 6.8mm all-metal body and weighs around 775g. It also includes a built-in 360-degree Kickstand 2.0, which supports multiple viewing angles, including Lean, Stand, Theatre and Hanging modes in both portrait and landscape orientations. Motorola is also bundling a clear protective case in the box.
