Lava has launched the Bold N2 5G in India, expanding its budget smartphone lineup with a device that focuses heavily on battery life. The new handset arrives as the company's latest affordable 5G offering and brings a larger battery, a faster display and newer software compared to the Lava Bold N2 4G that debuted earlier this year.

Priced at Rs. 12,999, the smartphone will be available in Billionaire Blue and Regal Gold colour options. As part of a limited-period launch offer, buyers will be able to pick it up for Rs. 11,999 when sales begin on Amazon on June 9.

Battery Life Is The Main Attraction

The biggest talking point of the Lava Bold N2 5G is its 6,000mAh battery. While large batteries are becoming increasingly common in the affordable segment, Lava is positioning this phone as a device built for users who don't want to worry about charging throughout the day.

The company claims the battery can deliver up to 815 minutes of YouTube playback and as much as 743 minutes of screen-on time on a single charge. The phone supports 18W fast charging, although buyers will find a 10W charger bundled in the box.

Smooth Display And 5G Connectivity

On the front, the Bold N2 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. While the resolution remains HD+, the higher refresh rate should make scrolling through apps and navigating the interface feel noticeably smoother.

Powering the smartphone is the Unisoc T8200 chipset, a 6nm processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The hardware is aimed at handling everyday tasks, media consumption and 5G connectivity without pushing the phone into a higher price bracket.

Android 16 Out Of The Box

One area where the Bold N2 5G stands out is software. The device ships with Android 16 straight out of the box, something that is still relatively uncommon in this price segment.

Lava has also included practical additions such as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.

Cameras Keep Things Simple

For photography, the smartphone sticks to a straightforward setup. It features a dual rear camera system led by a 13-megapixel primary sensor, while selfies and video calls are handled by a 5-megapixel front camera housed inside a waterdrop-style notch.
