Jio’s New Rs. 200 OTT Pass Tries To Bundle Your Streaming Apps, Live TV And Data Into One Recharge
Streaming subscriptions are slowly becoming as expensive as mobile recharges themselves, and that’s exactly the space Reliance Jio seems to be targeting with its newly launched Jio OTT Pass.
The company has introduced a new Rs. 200 add-on plan in India that combines OTT access, live TV channels, and mobile data under a single recharge. The pass comes with 28 days of validity and is now live across all telecom circles through the MyJio app, Jio’s website, retail outlets, and other recharge platforms.

But there’s one important catch here. This is not a standalone prepaid plan. Users must already have an active Jio base recharge to activate the OTT Pass.
What You Actually Get With Jio’s Rs. 200 OTT Pass
Jio is positioning the new pack as an entertainment-heavy offering, and on paper, it definitely looks packed.
The biggest highlight is access to 15 OTT platforms. The bundle includes JioHotstar Mobile + Hollywood and Prime Video Mobile Edition. On top of that, users can stream content from several other services through JioTV.
These platforms include Sony LIV, ZEE5, Discovery+, Lionsgate Play, Sun NXT, FanCode, Hoichoi, Chaupal, Planet Marathi, Tarang Plus, Kanccha Lannka, and TimesPlay.
One of the more noticeable additions here is YouTube Premium. That means subscribers also get ad-free YouTube viewing, background playback, and offline downloads on supported devices.
More Than Just OTT Apps
Jio is also bundling access to over 1,000 live TV channels through JioTV, including more than 150 paid channels. The lineup covers sports, movies, entertainment, regional content, kids programming, and infotainment channels from networks such as Sony, Sun TV, Warner Bros. Discovery, ETV, and JioStar.
Alongside the entertainment benefits, the pass includes 30GB of mobile data.
Eligible users also get unlimited 5G access for up to 28 days, although the benefit remains tied to the validity of the user’s existing active base plan. Jio has clarified that the recharge does not include voice calling benefits, since it works as an add-on pack rather than a complete prepaid plan.
Why This Plan Matters
Over the past year, telecom operators have been steadily pushing bundled entertainment plans as streaming subscriptions continue getting fragmented across platforms. Instead of paying separately for multiple OTT services, plans like the new Jio OTT Pass try to bring everything under a single recharge.
At Rs. 200, the new offering looks aimed at users who consume a lot of streaming content on mobile and already have an active Jio connection with 5G access.
