JBL has just dropped its latest in-line portable Bluetooth speakers, and someone who has used the Flip series in the past might find its design architecture a bit familiar, but still, there are a lot more updates as far as the looks are concerned with JBL's new audio offering. The speaker comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and also sports an ambient light on the back panel that gives it a unique look. The speakers come with the capacity of delivering 16W of output, according to the company, and can last up to 12 hours with playback, and apart from that, they will be able to squeeze two more hours out of it as they utilise a feature called the Playtime Boost.

JBL Grip Features And Specs

The company claims that this speaker comes with JBL Pro sound with an audio output of 16W. As far as output transducers are concerned, electronic devices that convert electrical signals into physical actions, the speaker utilises a 43x80 mm full-range transducer and has the capacity to offer a frequency response of 70 Hz to 20 kHz with an 80 dB signal-to-noise ratio.

On the connectivity side, the JBL Grip supports Bluetooth 5.4 and works with A2DP 1.4 and AVRCP 1.6 profiles. It can also be paired with the JBL Portable app on Android and iOS, where users can adjust settings such as ambient lighting and other audio controls. The speaker also includes Auracast support, which means you can pair two speakers for stereo sound or connect multiple compatible units for a wider listening setup.

According to the company, the JBL Grip can offer up to 12 hours of playback on a single charge. There is also a Playtime Boost option that can stretch the battery life by around two additional hours by optimising performance for louder output and improved efficiency. Inside, the speaker carries a 10.01Wh lithium-ion battery that takes about three hours to fully recharge.

For durability, the JBL Grip comes with an IP68 rating, meaning it is built to resist both dust and water, and it is also designed to survive accidental drops. The speaker has a compact upright form factor inspired by the shape of a seltzer can, and it includes a rope loop that makes it easier to carry or hang. In terms of size, it measures 64×153×65mm and weighs roughly 385 grams.

Pricing And Availability

The latest audio offering by JBL will cost you Rs 11,999 in India and comes in black, white, purple, red, blue, and camo colourways. Prospective buyers can visit the official JBL India website; offline retail stores and major e-commerce platforms in the country will also be putting this for sale.
