Itel is getting ready to refresh its budget smartphone lineup in India with the launch of two new Zeno series devices. The company has confirmed that the Itel Zeno 100 Pro will debut next week, while the Zeno 100 Lite has also been teased ahead of its arrival.

Although Itel is yet to reveal the complete specifications, the early teasers suggest that durability will be one of the biggest highlights of both smartphones. From military-grade certification to protection against drops and heat, the company appears to be targeting users looking for a phone that can better handle everyday wear and tear.

Itel Zeno 100 Pro Launch Date and Features

According to the Amazon microsite, the Itel Zeno 100 Pro will launch in India on July 16.

The company says the handset has been designed as a dependable everyday smartphone and confirms that it will come with MIL-STD 810H military-grade certification. Itel has also highlighted heat resistance and drop protection, indicating that durability is a key focus for the upcoming device.

One feature that has caught attention is what Itel calls "Point and Tap Control Connectivity." However, in the absence of an official explanation by the company on the workings of this technology, it appears clear that there is a provision of an IR blaster that enables the use of the phone to control other devices such as television and air conditioner and other home appliances.

The teaser pictures also show a double camera system at the back of the phone.

What We Know About the Itel Zeno 100 Lite

The Zeno 100 Lite has also started appearing in official teasers, with Itel confirming a handful of its specifications ahead of launch.

The handset will feature a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, paired with DTS-backed speakers for audio. Like the Pro variant, it is also confirmed to offer MIL-STD military-grade durability certification and will pack a 5,000mAh battery.

Although Itel hasn't officially revealed how the two models differ, the Lite branding suggests it will sit below the Zeno 100 Pro in the company's portfolio.
